elon thomas is a folk-rock musician from los angeles, ca.
born august 27th, 1998.
he started playing the guitar around seven, after stealing his sister’s guitar.
when he heard jimi hendrix and duane allman play it would basically never stay the same.
using a usb tabletop microphone he would make his first record in the eleventh grade and release it (to the sound of one hand clapping) to soundcloud.
it was ambitious: banging on kids toys, screwing with garageband pre-loaded synth presets, and cutting bits of songs together into medleys.
before he learned what a compressor was, he would draw the automation for each word of his vocal tracks. (he still does this).
this would get him into usc thornton for production and songwriting.
a few breakups and many rehearsals later,
he would graduate.
out of college, he would be a research assistant, a barista. but he was always a musician.
